I graduated from SCHS in May of 2000. I almost graduated with honors, but fell short with a 3.47, where you needed a 3.5. I owe this to my freshman year of high school when I didn't care about grades at the time. But to make up for my stupidity, I did manage to graduate high school with 32 college credits.
I played many sports, and was active in many clubs. I did track & field (shot put & discus), tennis, soccer (I managed the Boy's Varsity Soccer Team) and a bit of basketball (mostly conditioning so I could get in shape for track). As for clubs, I was on the Academic Team (captain my Senior year), Chem/Physics Club, Biology Club (treasurer), Keyette Club and FCA. I've also had quite few awards too. I've been on the A/B Honor Roll List, Dean's List (Honor), President's List (VCC Dual Enrollment), Who's Who Among America's High School Students (3 consecutive years), and Florida Academic Scholar. I've also earned my school jacket and lettered in track & field, tennis and earned several academic chevrons.
I did attend the Florida Institute of Technology located in Melbourne, FL. My intended major there was meteorology. Ever since I was young, I was always intrigued by the weather, especially tornadoes. I say 'was' because after many complications with the calculus curriculum (meteorology was required to go to Calc 3 and beyond), I had to switch my major. Due to math being one of my major academic weaknesses, my GPA suffered tremendously. College was the first time I've ever had anything below a 3.0 and indeed I was not happy about it. Currently after working diligently my senior year and earning a 3.4 and a 3.33 each semester, I managed to pull a 2.8 GPA as my final grade point average (overall). For just my major, I managed a 3.1, so I was able to be in the 3.0 range once again. Other than that, I've also received a recognition in The National Dean's List for college and listed in the Dean's List for the 2000-2001 year. I am a recipient of 3 scholarships and the Florida Tech grant. I have finally graduated in May 2006 with my B.S. degree in Earth & Space Sciences.
As for hobbies and interests, I have many. I love being a kid, even though I'm in my 20's. I enjoy video games a lot, but I also love to exercise with DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). I am also into anime, with my favorite still being Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon and Ah! My Goddess. I'm an avid cel collector, with my main focus being Sailor Moon and Ah! My Goddess. I currently have in possession over 230 cels.
I like to watch movies, play games (computer games, video consoles like N64, SNES, PS2, Game Cube and Wii), and collect cels. I also just like to lay outside and watch the stars as one of my passions is astronomy. I can just lay out and name the constellations in the sky that I know and watch the planets gracefully vanish over the horizon. I also love watching storms go by because I love seeing the darkness and the lightning that accompanies the storms. I've been through two tornadoes in my life, and they are a sight to see. I would never want to be in the middle of one, but seeing how nature can create such a destructive force is what inspired me to pursue meteorology. I was able to see 4 funnels try to form during the collision of the sea breeze fronts (happens a lot during the summer in FL). All this took place approx. 4-5 miles from my house. I've never actually got to see any funnels/tornadoes in real life until then. It was the best thing I've seen yet in Meteorology. They didn't become tornadoes, but they were still a sight to see.
I am in my first year of marriage to my college sweetheart, whom is the love of my life. We currently share a passion for a lot of the same interests, which makes us completely compatable. He is my soulmate and we are sanctioned under God to be husband and wife for as long as we live.
